Art trail brochure from over the border

The beautiful Tweed River Art Gallery in Murwillumbah is only a 20 minute drive from the NSW border. Opened in 2004, this architecturally designed building perches on the side of a hill over looking the Tweed Valley and Mt Warning. In addition to its predominantly contemporary collection the gallery supports an art trail that winds through the Tweed Shire visiting over 44 sites including heritage buildings, artists workshops, public sculpture, commercial galleries and public museums.

The brochure can be downloaded from . If you are in the area try and pick up a hard copy brochure as the online edition doesn’t include photos.

Happy trails

About Suzette Sayer

As part of my role as heritage consultant I am constantly on the look out for iconic forms of design and architecture. My current project is a grass roots initiative to create a Mobile Museum that captures the stories of the Gold Coast through community interactions in temporary pop-up exhibitions. The project aims to be facilitated through the Hip! (Heritage in Paradise) Mobile, a vintage style tear drop caravan equipped with a recording studio, and room for exhibition materials. So join us on this journey of discovery and help us uncover HIP! Suzette Sayer
