In my search for all things concerning public art, I came across the artist Julian Beever http://users.skynet.be/J.Beever/index.html . Julian is a pavement artist of international renown with over 20 years experience. His most well-known works are those illustrations which are distorted so that when seen from a particular viewpoint give the illusion of being 3-dimensional.
